Ms. Isabell Bolin McKay, age 84, of Sulligent, Alabama, passed away, Tuesday, September 4, 2007, at Marion Regional Nursing Home in Hamilton, Alabama.
Funeral Services were held Thursday, September 6, 2007, 1:00 p.m. from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Henson Springs Cemetery. Bro. Robert McKay and Bro. Roger Reedus officiated.
Pallbearers were Richard Moore, Anthony Moore, Al Moore, Michael McKay, Randy McKay and Nick Smith. Honorary pallbearers were Jason Smith, Jessie McKay, Terry McKay, and Edward McKay.
Ms. McKay was born on March 24, 1923 in Monroe County, Mississippi to the late John and Beulah Rhudy Bolin. She was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. Ms. McKay enjoyed quilting and gardening.
Survivors include 6 sons, Loyd (O.B.) McKay, Hamilton, AL., Floyd McKay, Hamilton, AL., Daniel (Barbara) McKay, Hamilton, AL., Roy Lee (Sharon) McKay, Hamilton, AL., James Troy (Mary Ann) McKay, Sulligent, AL., and Coy (Bobbie) McKay, Beaverton, AL.; 3 daughters, Shirley (Jerry) Waid, Sulligent, AL., Rachael Lockhart, Sulligent, AL., and Diane (Bill) Smith, Hubbertville, AL.; 1 brother, George Bolin, Sulligent, AL.; 30 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; and a host of step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Beulah Bolin; her husband, James McKay; 3 sisters; 2 brothers; 5 grandchildren; 1 daughter-in-law; and 2 sons-in-law.
Ms. McKay was the mother of Roy Lee McKay, a police officer in Hamilton, AL.
