Betsy Sandlin Colburn, age 62, of Vernon, Alabama passed away on Tuesday,
October 6, 2009 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi.

Mrs. Colburn was born on July 19, 1947 in Lamar County, Alabama to Victory
Lindsey Sandlin and the late Clyde Maxwell Sandlin. She was a member of the
Mulberry Springs Baptist Church where she had served for many years as the
children's Sunday School teacher. Mrs. Colburn attended Sulligent High School
and had previously worked as a seamstress for Glenn Enterprises. She enjoyed
flowers and reading, especially the Bible.
She is survived by her mother, Victory Sandlin, Vernon, AL.; her husband,
Randall Colburn, Vernon, AL.; 1 son, Bobby Lynn (Marie) Belk, Jr., Dothan, AL.;
1 daughter, Nichole (Jason) Lange, Hamilton, AL.; 2 grandchildren, Megan Belk,
and Trey Belk; 3 brothers, Raymond Sandlin, Mooreville, MS., Richard Sandlin,
Sulligent, AL., J.W. (Rita) Sandlin, Sulligent, AL.; 2 sisters, Wynell Colburn,
Florence, AL., and Polly Hudson, Vernon, AL.; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Maxwell Sandlin; 1 sister, Dollie
Ray Sandlin; and 1 niece, Dianne Phillips.
