Mr. Baughn was born March 17, 1957 in Marion County, AL to the late Troy and

Olis Jane Whitehead Baughn. He was a member of Detroit Baptist Church. Mr.

Baughn was an automotive enthusiast with cars, trucks and motorcycles. He

enjoyed working, spending time with his grandkids and motocross racing. Mr.

Baughn worked for CJ Farms and had previously worked at NACCO.

He is survived by his son, Brandon (Amanda) Baughn, Hamilton, AL.; daughters,

She was born February 6,

1927, in Atwood, Ala., to Theoter G. and Lealon Jane Scott Davis. She was

employed by Detroit Slacks for 18 years and was a member of Atwood Baptist

Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Ruby Bolding of Red Bay, Pat Brigman

(Charles) of Baldwyn and Becky Lindsey (Tommy) of Waycross, Ga.; one step-son,

Larry Green (Cindy) of Muscle Shoals, Ala.; one sister, Betty Griffus (Lloyd

Ray) of Russellville, Ala.; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three

great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. "Buck" Green; her parents;

two brothers; one sister; one son-in-law; one granddaughter; and one

great-grandson.

Johnson, age 88, of Fulton, MS, passed away October 12, 2008, at the Courtyards

Nursing Facility.

He was born January 17, 1920, to Napolean Bonapart "Boney" Johnson and Texie

Isora Wheeler Johnson. He was a member of the Pine Grove Church of Christ. He

was a truck driver for Film Transit for over 30 years. He was a veteran of World

War II where he received the Purple Heart while serving in the United States

army. He was an avid fisherman.

Survivors include two sons, Danny W. Johnson (Audie) of Guin, Ala. and Freddie

Joe Johnson (Lena) of Millington, Tenn.; two sisters, Olema Powell of Amory and

Ruby Mills of Fulton; seven grandchildren, Joy Jarvis, Vivian Brumett, Aaron

Johnson, James Thomas Johnson, Laura Lee Underwood, Marsha Gail Sensing and

Christopher Vann; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Johnson, who died in 2003; two sons,

William Tommy Johnson and Rickey Dale Johnson; one daughter, Judy Gail Vann; and

two sisters, Cloaciel Tucker and Vonzie Taylor.

died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008, at his home.

He was born Sept. 18, 1917, in Trenton, N.C., to Thomas Christopher and Carrie

Morton Jenkins. He was a minister for 73 years and a co-founder of New Covenant

Church, headquartered in Indianapolis, Ind. He was a member of the Assembly of

Christ House of Prayer in Dennis. He had his own religious television program at

4 p.m. every Tuesday on Trinity Broadcasting Network at Booneville.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Assembly of Christ House of Prayer in

Dennis with Bro. Jackie Hastings officiating. Burial will be in the church

cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The body will

lie in state from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca J. Marshburn Jenkins of Red Bay; four

daughters, Carolyn Smither (Harlan) of St. Joseph, Mo., Priscilla Jenkins of Los

Angeles, Calif., and Madeena Jenkins and Rebecca C. Beal (Larry) of Red Bay;

three grandchildren, Wayne Smith (Lori), Sherlyn Jurgensen and Keith Smither

(Teresa); and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 11 brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Edgeworth was born July 23, 1916 in Lamar County, AL to the late Walter

Alonzo and Mary Frances "Molly" Hawkins Poore. She was a member of Detroit

Church of Christ. Mrs. Edgeworth served as a Sunday School Teacher at the church

for many of years. She worked for many years at the lunchroom at Detroit School,

Detroit Slacks and at the Detroit City Hall. Mrs. Edgeworth enjoyed gardening.

She is survived by her daughter, Betty McCracken, Detroit, AL; also survived by

Richard and Polly Bow, Detroit, AL; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 3

great-great-grandchildren; and a brother: James Oliver (Wynona) Poore, Tupelo,

MS.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Alonzo and Molly Hawkins Poore;

her husband, Clevis Edgeworth; son-in-law, Wilford McCracken; 3 brothers; and 3

Mrs. Taylor was born June 28, 1930 in Fayette County, AL to the late Hobson and

member of the Beaverton Church of God where she participated in the Ladies

Auxiliary. She had previously worked at Munsingwear in Guin and Fred's in both

Guin and Sulligent. Mrs. Taylor enjoyed gardening and flowers.

beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away on

Saturday, Oct., 18, 2008 while residing in Destin, Fla.

She was a 40 year resident of Bessemer, Ala. She was born Nov. 14, 1934 in

Vernon, Ala., graduated from Lamar County High School and Livingston State

College. She married Earl F. Bell in Birmingham, Ala., in May of 1958.

Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by her parents, Turner and Etma, sisters Helen

and Maxine, and brother Clayton.

She is survived by her husband, Earl; sister Shirley Madden of Richmond, Va.;

son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Sheryl Bell of Las Vegas, Nev.; sons Brian

Bell and Jon Bell of Birmingham; and granddaughter, Caroline Bell, also of Las

Vegas.

Ruby M. Mann, age 92, of Indianapolis, Indiana, and formerly of Hamilton,

Alabama, died October 24, 2008. She was

born September 10, 1916 to the late Howard and Della (Wiginton) Summerford in

Amory, Mississippi. Ruby was a

graduate of Hamilton High School, where she met her future husband,

George L. Mann . Her primary occupation was

that of minister's wife, but she was employed as a registered nurse in the

office of Dr. John Kerr of Hamilton, Alabama.

She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who dedicated her life to her

family and to the Lord. Ruby is survived

by her son Gary Mann (wife Linda); two granddaughters Heather Hunter (husband

Brock) and Pamela Schramke

(husband Ryan) and great grandchildren Lily and Beck Hunter. She was preceded in

death by her husband of 73 years,

George, and their son George Robert Mann, as well as three brothers: Olan

James B. Stutts

Age 75 | Hamilton, AL

James

B. Stutts died Monday, October 27, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born November 19, 1932 in

Rogersville, Alabama, he grew up on a small farm and after graduation from

Rogersville High School in 1950; he enlisted in the United States Army. He

served in the Korean conflict for 13 months in 1953 - 1954, an again in 1960 -

1961. Between these years he was stationed in Alaska for several months

and Germany for five years. His next tour of duty was the Vietnam conflict

where he served twice, once from 1967 - 1968, and again in 1970 - 1971. He

received two Bronze Stars for his service in Vietnam. He retired after 20

years of service as a Chief Warrant Officer 2 in 1972. After military

retirement he was employed at Federal Mogul in Hamilton, Alabama, where he

worked until retirement in 1996. He enjoyed gardening, lawn work, and was

always willing to help anyone that needed a helping hand. He loved

listening to Gospel music and watching Alabama football.

He is survived by his wife,

Betty J. Stutts, and four children, Sherry Brown and her husband Jimmy Brown of

Hamilton, Alabama; Keith Stutts and Becky Stutts, of Omaha, Nebraska; Dr.

Michael Stutts and wife Beth Stutts, of Sheffield, Alabama; and Teresa Loden, of

Birmingham, Alabama. He has one sister, Jean Mills and husband Robert

Mills, of Rogersville, Alabama. There are 11 grandchildren, and 2 great

grandchildren with another on the way. There are many cousins, In-laws and

friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Cecil Stutts, and

Bertha Perry Stutts, of Rogersville, Alabama.

Kalliath, Holden, and Mokulls. Also thanks to the respiratory department

as well as the nurses and staff on the 6th floor at ECM hospital.

retired from the Lamar County Commission where he worked as a heavy machine

operator. Mr. Christian was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII. He

enjoyed walking and playing the harmonica.

He is survived by one daughter, Mary Sue (Charles) Moore, Fayette, AL; 1

step-daughter, Sherry Lynn Smithson, Panama City, FL; 1 sister, Beatrice Oakes,

Elbert "Red" Clement was

born in Hamilton, Alabama August 15, 1920. He proudly joined the 46th

Naval SeeBee Battalion and served from 1941 to 1945. During this time he

was stationed in the South Pacific. He returned to marry and to have a

career in construction of highways and bridges in North Alabama. He was

also a registerred land surveyor for most of his life. He was a member of

the First Baptist Church of Hamilton.

He was loved and admired by

those who knew him. He was a man of wisdom and lived a life committed to

his family and community. He touched everyone he knew with his sense of

humor and his love of life.
