James Monroe Jordan, age 60,
of Sulligent, Alabama, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2009 in the North
Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo,, MS.

p.m., Saturday, November 14, 2009, at Chandler Funeral Home, Vernon, AL.
Funeral service, 1:30 p.m., Sunday, November 15, 2009, at Chandler Funeral Home,
Vernon, AL. Charles Bellew and Carlos Dean officiating. Burial in
Friendship South Cemetery ,
between Sulligent and Vernon, AL.
James was born January 16,
1949 in Lamar County, AL. to Audine Morrow Jordan and the late Harold Bernard
Jordan. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator. He was a Veteran of the U.S.
Army and served in Viet Nam. James enjoyed hunting and fishing. He
was a lifetime member of Friendship South Baptist Church and a member of the
American Legion.
He is survived by his
mother, Audine Morrow Jordan, Sulligent, AL.; 1 brother, Harold (Donna) Jordan,
Sulligent, AL.; 1 son, Michael Jordan, Villa Rica, GA.; 1 daughter, Ashley
Guthrie, Villa Rica, GA.; 2 grandchildren, Jordan, Villa Rica, GA., and Camden
Guthrie, Villa Rica, GA.; and many other friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by
his father, Harold Bernard Jordan.

James Jordan was my second cousin but he and his brother have been more like
