Mr. McCarley was born August 29, 1931, in Marion County,

Alabama to Erlou Goggans McCarley and the late Hubert McCarley. He was

Retired from the State Highway Department and was a Veteran of the Korean

Conflict.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Yielding McCarley of

Hamilton, Alabama; daughters, Terri Johnson, Hamilton, AL. and Anne (Ron) Shady,

Killen, AL.; mother Erlou McCarley, Hamilton, AL.; sister, Anita "Cricket"

(L.O.) Boyette, Hamilton, AL.; nephew, Keith (Cathy) Boyett, Axis, Alabama;

Great Niece, Claire Boyett, Axis, AL.; and a host of friends and relatives.

AL., and W. G. (Wilma) Ingle, Jr., Prattville, AL.; 4 grandchildren; and

brothers, Frank Ingle, John L. Ingle, and Donnie Ingle.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Midge; his parents, Rob

Miss Thompson was born on July 8, 1937 in Henderson, TN, a daughter of Wesley S.

and Letha Irene Jones Thompson. She earned her B.A. from University of AL, her

M.A. from Duke University and her Ph.D. from Tulane University. She had been a

Spanish Professor at University of MS, Auburn and retired from Delgado College

in 2000.

She is survived by sister,

Mary Alice Yarbrough, Greenville, SC; niece, Sarah Farah Ratner, Richmond, VA;

nephew, Wesley Cole Yarbrough, Bozeman, MT; special friends, Kay Seagraves and

Mr. White was born on December 28, 1919 in Marion County, Alabama, a son of

Nathan Alexander White and Mary Ann Miles White; resident of Brilliant, Alabama

and Mt. Pisgah Community most of his life; previously a Coal Miner, Driver for

Ben Little Cement Products in Winfield and retired from Brilliant Water

Department; WWII US Army Veteran; member of American Legion; and a member of Mt.

Pisgah United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma White;

an infant daughter; a sister, Ludean Corkren; and four brothers, Grady, Wilburn,

Ellis and Orville.

Survivors include a special companion, Louise Hill of Winfield; one brother,

Richard White of Rome, GA; two sisters, Polly Massey of Denton, TX and Irene

Roby of Winfield; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Mr. Kimbrell was born on

January 1, 1935 in Marion Co. a son of Abraham Lincoln Kimbrell and Ellie Mae

Chaffin Kimbrell; resident of Brilliant most of his life; previously employed

with various manufactured housing plants and Hamilton Plastics; US Air Force

Veteran; and a member of Brilliant Domino Club.

In addition to his parents,

he was preceded in death by two brothers, Junior and Charles Kimbrell; and two

sisters, Eulean Castergine and Chris Rodriquez.

Survivors include one

brother, Wayne (Gloria) Kimbrell of Brilliant; two sisters, Jewell Dean Hulsey

of Hamilton and Sue (Rayburn) Rogers of Haleyville; nieces, nephews and other

She is survived by 1

daughter, Doviel Jean Cantrell of Shelby, AL; 2 grandsons, Michael Franks and

Scott Franks; 6 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and 1

sister, Ethel Pratt of Hackleburg, AL.

She was preceded in death by

her husband, Willie D. Pratt; her parents, Joseph and Lucretia McCarley

care center as a Nursing Aid.

Mr. Virgil Dewayne Sims, age 58, of Beaverton, AL, passed away Tuesday, November

11, 2008 at the residence.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 13, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. from the

Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Smith Cemetery. Officiating minister

will be Dr. Larry Wates. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on

Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.

Mr. Sims was born on July 5, 1950 in Winfield, Alabama to the late Virgil Sam

and Jewel Dean Hulsey Sims. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Sims had previously

worked for Alcoa in Rockdale, TX. He loved riding motorcycles and had been on

several rides in West Monroe, LA for "Jerry's Kids" which provides help for

children

with muscular dystrophy. He enjoyed being with friends, campfires and

barbequing.

of Trinity Free Will Baptist Church.

He was born December 6, 1912, in Walker County, AL., to the late Thomas and

Celia Kirkpatrick. He lived most of his life in Winfield. He served in the U.S.

Army during World War II. He was employed with 7-up Bottling Company in Jasper

for 25 years. After semi-retirement, he was employed with Parrish Tire Company

in Winfield before he retired in 1982. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and

American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Dorenia Stephens Kirkpatrick;

his parents, Thomas and Celia Kirkpatrick; three sisters; and two brothers.

He is survived by his daughters, Judith (Donald) Sobrak, Winfield, AL. and Lynda

Kirkpatrick (Art Wiles), Salisbury, N.C.; 8 grandchildren; 12

great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and

nephews.

Community College in Hamilton. Mr. Clavette was an active supporter of the

Sulligent High

School Band and still traveled with them to every game. He was an avid reader

and loved fishing, swimming and the outdoors.
