Burial in the Guin City Cemetery. Mr. Vaughn was born in Lamar County, Alabama, to the late Paul Earnest and Kate Bozeman Vaughn. He had lived in Guin all of his life, was a member of the Guin First Baptist Church, and was a Mason and Eastern Star. He spent 2 special years as a volunteer at Sunset Manor Nursing Home after retiring from the railroad. He is survived by his wife, Lavonne Jeffreys Vaughn of Guin, AL.; 2 daughters, Tracie (Andy) Smith and Stefanie (Carl) Weeks, all of Winfield, AL.; 2 grandchildren, Alec and Ty Weeks; 1 sister, Mary Sue Norris, of New Market, AL.; 1 brother, Paul Vaughn, of Riverside, AL.; and a special friend, Kacy Junkin. Lena Mae Cantrell Wood, age 94, of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2011 at her residence.

Funeral service, 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 30, 2011, at Hamilton First United Methodist Church, Hamilton, Alabama. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m., at the church and until time of service. The body to Lie-in-State 12:00 - 2:00 p.m., at the church prior to the funeral. Howard Johnson officiating. Burial in Cedar Tree Cemetery at Hackleburg, Alabama.

Ms. Wood was born January 5, 1917, in Marion County, Alabama, to the late Oliver Clifton and Lula Nix Cantrell. She was a Homemaker.

She is survived by 2 sons, George Randal (Rebecca) Wood and Oliver Frederick (Paula) Wood; 1 daughter, Andra Jacquelyn (James) Burleson; 4 grandsons, Michelle Burleson (Nick) Belovsky, Rachel Wood (Jeremy) Streetman, and Leah Wood (Bart) Hyche; 2 great-grandsons, Jack Wood and Anderson Streetman; 5 great-granddaughters, Caroline Belovsky, Riley Burleson, Emma Belovsky, Shea Wood, and McKenzie Hyche; 1 brother, O.C. (Vera) Cantrell; 2 sisters, Jean (Eugene) Pritchett, and Frankie (Sterling) Pritchett; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Jackson Wood; 1 son, Barry Richard Wood; her parents, Oliver Clifton and Lula Nix Cantrell; 2 brothers, Jim Cantrell and Cecil Cantrell; and 1 sister, Mattie Lou Cleveland.
