Mr. Cantrell was born December 14, 1933, in Marion County, Alabama, to late Dan Henry and Myrta Yielding Cantrell.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jenell Jones Cantrell; 6 children, Lesley (Belva) Cantrell, Gregory Cantrell, Keith Cantrell, Stevon (Andrea) Cantrell, Pamela (Eddie) Crump, and Randy Lee Cantrell; 8 grandchildren; sisters, Naomi Lee, Sylvia Glenn, Nadine Lolley, and Dorothy Morrison.

She graduated from Massey Business College and worked for Health Tex as Office Manager and Bookkeeper for 26 years before retiring. She was a member of the Guin First Baptist Church where she was a choir member and served on the Bereavement Committee for many years. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and working in her flowers. She is survived by 1 daughter, Sheila (Terry) Young of Mary Ester, FL.; 2 grandchildren, Everett Eugene "Butch" (Lea) Chaffin, Jr. and Mistie (Josh) Nichols all of Mobile, AL.; 4 great-grandchildren, Cayla, Chloe, Carlee and Veronica; 1 sister, Nannie South of Sulligent, AL.; and 1 brother, J. Funeral service, 3:00 p.m., Sunday, May 9, 2010 at Mulberry Springs Baptist Church, where the body to lie-in-state at the church from 2:00 p.m. until service time at 3:00 p.m. Burial in the Gilmer Addition / Sulligent City Cemetery. Mrs. Flynn was born November 20, 1942 in Lamar County, AL to the late Edgar R. and Maudeen Stark Hanson. She was a member of Mulberry Springs Baptist Church, where she was a member of WMU and also enjoyed making and maintaining beautiful floral arrangements and decoration for the church. Mrs. Flynn was a 1960 graduate of Hamilton High School and also graduated from Vaughn Beauty College in Aberdeen, MS. She previously was a beautician at the Care Center of Vernon and also owned and operated Curl and Swirl Beauty Salon from 1965 to 1972. She also worked with the band boosters for several years. Mrs. Flynn enjoyed reading, gardening, bird watching, cooking and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Rolland Flynn, Sulligent, AL; 2 daughters, Alanna Flynn (Jim) Parham, Tupelo, MS., Marla Flynn (Bryan) Serena, Hamilton, AL.; grandchildren, Bryson Serena and Ella Rilyn Serena. She was preceded in death by her parents, father, Edgar R. Hanson and mother: Maudeen Stark Hanson Webb; and her step-father, Clarence Webb.

He had been a member of the Detroit United Methodist Church since age 5 and served as Treasurer for over 50 years. He enjoyed Crimson Tide Football and Atlanta Braves Baseball. He is survived by 1 daughter, Deborah Hamilton (Tim Crumly) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; his beloved cat and other relatives and friends.
