David Leon Barnhill (1935-2009) age 73 of Haleyville, AL died May 13, 2009 at

Shelby Baptist Hospital.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Barnhill and Pearl Olean

Barnhill; 4 brothers, Jesse Barnhill, Clinton Barnhill, Robert "Buggs" Barnhill,

George "Sonny" Barnhill; and 2 sisters, Sarah "Sis" Whitehead and Olean

Robinson.

He is survived by his brother Wade Barnhill of Starkville, Mississippi, his

loving wife Patsy Barnhill; his two sons David Bryan Barnhill and Bill Barnhill;

and his daughter Angela Plowman; 3 grandsons; and 4 granddaughters.

Mr. Barnhill was a former Executive V.P. and General Manager of Winston

Furniture of Haleyville, Alabama. He was also a Veteran.

Dorothy Eugenia Riddle Stewart, passed away.

She was born October 27, 1933 in Haleyville, Alabama to the late Roberta

Williams Riddle and Lloyd Riddle. She was a graduate of Haleyville High School.

She worked 37 years at Southern Swagelok Company. She was a member of Dawson

Memorial Baptist Church and an avid Bingo player.

She is survived by 1 son, Robert Wayne (Tish) Stewart, of Hoover, AL.; 1

daughter, Dianne Stewart (Jimmie) Johnson, of Hoover, AL.; 1 grandson, Peter

Mr. McCarley was a lifelong resident of Franklin County, AL., and a

self-employed home builder. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, in

Russellville, AL. where he served as a deacon and a Sunday school teacher.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Gussie McCarley, of Russellville; 1

daughter, Judy Vandiver and husband, G.W., of Spruce Pine, AL.; 1 sister,

Kathleen Perry, of Streator, IL.; 1 brother, Leaborn McCarley and wife, Bertie,

of Muscle Shoals, AL.; 2 grandchildren, Tracy Vandiver, of Spruce Pine, Shelia

spinal cancer.

He was born January 10, 1937 in Russellville, AL., the son of Ralph Rivers

Richeson and Pearl Adell Hendrix Richeson. Arriving in Rockford in 1948,

Norman attended Morris Kennedy School and graduated from Rockford East High

School in 1955. A member of UAW Local 592, he retired after 30 years from

Sundstrand Aviation and he was a member of the Windsor Athletic Club and

Lombardi Club. Motorcyclist, car buff, Chicago Bears fan, bowler, water skier

and boating enthusiast, Norm will be missed by his family and many friends.

He is survived by 2 sisters Ruth Spooner and husband, Ray and Irene Sedeora and

husband, Tej; 2 brothers, Aaron Richeson and wife, Trudy and Cedric Richeson and

wife, Emily; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Neil Spooner.

Thanks to attending nurses and Passages Hospice for their care. Also thanks to

special friends Lou Bowman, Bart Cagnoni, Shan Sundaram and others who comforted

him in his final days.

B. Green, 89, of Hamilton passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2009.

Born on

February 2, 1920 in Marion County, he was the son of the late Lemuel Augustus

Green, Bertha Elizabeth Burleson Green and step-mother, Icy Estelle Northam

Green.

He was a

WWII Veteran, serving in France and Germany while being attached to Patton's

Third Army. He was an employee of the Alabama Department of Public Safety

for 25 years. He was a member of Hamilton First United Methodist Church.

He was

preceded in death by his wife of nearly 65 years, Mary Jean Brooks Green, and

son, Douglas B. Green, Jr. Survivors include a son, Jimmy (Judy) Green and

a daughter, Mary Kathryn Green Estes (Tommy), and adopted son, Bob Straub (Ladawn);

grandchildren, John David Garrison (Jennifer), Angie Jean Green Warren (Jon

Alan), Jamey Green (Emily), Gena Frederick Pickle (Scotty); 8

great-grandchildren, Emma Caroline Warren, Maggie Brooks Warren, Jackson Douglas

Green, Mary Claire Pickle, Chloe Scott Pickle, Chelsea Underwood, John David

Nellie Weeks Barnes Lindley, age 82, passed away Friday, May 29, 2009, at her

residence after a sudden illness.

retirement. She was active in the Belden Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending

time with her family and friends.

2009, as the result of an automobile accident in Tuscaloosa County.

Austin was born December 19, 1992, in Tupelo, MS. and formerly lived in

Booneville, MS. for 14 years. He was an active member of the Southside Baptist

Church and the Swam, Swag, Souled Out and Church Youth Group. He was a 10th

grade student at the Fayette County High School and a member of the Fayette

County High School Band and Choir. He was an Eagle Scout and loved hunting

She was born in Marion County to the late Marcellus N. and Mary Dora Sizemore

Lockhart and the wife of the late Joe Nelton White. Maggie had lived in the

Beaverton area most all her life and was a member of the Eastern Star, the

ladies VFW, served on the advisory board of The First State Bank of the South,

and was an active member of the Beaverton United Methodist Church. She had

retired from the McCoy Manufacturing Plant and was Co-Owner of White's Tax

Service.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Diane White Hankins and husband, Grover of

Macon, MS., and Vickie White Norwood of Beaverton, AL.; 3 grandchildren, Mary

Anna Ford and husband, Douglas of Columbus, MS, Joe Norwood and Will Norwood

Both of Fayette, AL, 1 great-grandson, Dalton Ford, a very special friend Billy

"Demp" Stanford, and host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Nelton White; parents, Marcellus

N. and Mary Dora Sizemore Lockhart; 5 sisters; and 6 brothers.

Ms. Martha Jo Warren Noe, age 74, of Sulligent, AL passed away on Monday, May

25, 2009 at Northwest Medical Center in Winfield, AL.

Visitation, at the Otts Funeral Home on Thursday afternoon 3:00 until service

time at 6:00 P.M. Funeral services, Thursday, May 28, 2009 at 6:00 P.M. from the

Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the

Pleasant Ridge Cemetery . Officiating

minister will be Bro. William Kirkman. Serving as active pallbearers will be

Jeremy Flippo, Al Noe, Donny Noe, Chris Smith, Dan Glasgow, Tim Duncan and Eddie

Hankins. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be David Noe and the staff of the

Care Center of Vernon.

Ms. Noe was born October 20, 1934 in Lamar County, AL., to the late Joe and

Katie Pitts Warren. She was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. Ms.

Noe had previously worked as a babysitter. She loved her family and friends and

especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by 1 son, Donald (Sherry) Noe, Gattman, MS.; 1 daughter, Lisa

(Paul) Flippo, Sulligent, AL.; 1 daughter-in-law, Wynell Noe, Vernon, AL.; 14

grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren (and 1 on the way); 6 step-grandchildren;

15 step-great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Shirley (Benoit) Duncan,

Vernon, AL., Eloise (Cloyce) McDaniel, Vernon, AL., Rachel (Charles) Hankins,

Sulligent, AL., Edna Glasgow, Vernon, AL., Frank (Dorothy) Warren, Sulligent,

AL., Billy Joe Warren, Sulligent, AL., David (Sandra) Warren, Hahira, GA., and

Betty Warren, Augusta, GA.; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 1 son, James Noe; special friend, R.G. Noe;
