Ms. LuSundra "Cookie" Maddox, age 50, of Delray Beach, Florida, formerly of

Sulligent, Alabama, passed away on February 25, 2009 in Florida.

Ms. Maddox was born on October 6, 1958 to the late Minnie Lee Guyton Maddox and

Clinton C. Maddox. She was a member of the St. James Baptist Church where she

sang in the choir for many years. Ms. Maddox was a 1977 graduate of Sulligent

High School. She grew up being active in the Young Matrons and she also was a

member of the Easter Star. In her later years she moved to Delray Beach, Florida

where she attended Ebenezer Baptist Church.

She is survived by 4 sisters, Vivian (Isaac) Scurry, Delray Beach, FL., Melanie

(Matt) Olson, Augusta, GA., Valeria Maddox, Sulligent, AL., Pamela Harvard, Lake

Worth, FL; and a host of nephews, nieces and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Minnie Lee Guyton Maddox; father,

Clinton C. Maddox; and brother-in-law: Shurod Harvard.

Mrs. Aldridge was born on July 27, 1930 in Marion County, Alabama to the late

Joseph Newton Lee and Allie Bell Erwin Lee. She was previously employed in

various sewing plants, Wal-Mart in Winfield and Winfield Schools; she was a hard

worker and worked all her life; and she was a member of Harmony Grove Baptist

Church.

She is survived by 1 son, Robert Owen Aldridge of Winfield, AL; 1 granddaughter,

Melissa Aldridge of Haleyville, AL; 2 great-granddaughters, Karlie and Hailey

Aldridge of Haleyville, AL; 1 sister, Margie Lee Orsborn of Winfield, AL;

nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Paul McGuffie, was born on April 1, 1924,to the late Bert and Lou Etta McGuffie.

Paul was a very devoted husband and father. He was a Sergeant in the Army during

WWII where he was wounded twice and received a Purple Heart with One Oak Leaf

Cluster, Good Conduct Medal, Bronze Star and a WWII Victory Medal. He was a long

time member of the First Baptist Church of Pinson.

He is survived by 3 daughters, Paula Weems, Sheila Dewees and Angela McGuffie; 2

sons, Brad and Mark McGuffie; 7 grandchildren, Jana Weems Gaither (Jeff), Katie Dewees,

Jay Weems, Michelle Hazelwood (Jim), David and Andrew Dewees and Brittany

Marcum; 4 great grandchildren, Paul "Brady" and Abby Gaither, Ariana Evans-Young

and Eli Hazelwood; 3 sisters, Virginia Johns of Hanceville, Opal Wallace (Ray)

Mike was born February 21, 1954 in Jacksonville, NC. He was a life long resident

of Double Springs, Alabama where he served as a volunteer fireman for 39 years

and served as Chief for 19 of those years. He owned Mike's Auto Parts for 10

years before becoming an employee of the Winston County Road Department. Mike

was a member of Union Grove Free Will Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon

and Sunday School Teacher.

Mike is survived by his wife Ruby Thomas Gilbreath, one son, Erik Michael

Gilbreath of Double Springs and one daughter, Amanda Elizabeth Gilbreath of

Madison, AL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, LC and Doris Gilbreath and

grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. LV Martin, and Mr. and Mrs. Leldon Gilbreath Sr.

a loving mother, grandmother and a friend to all.

William Donald "Don" Knight of Guin, AL., Morris Edward (Rhonda) Knight of

Columbus, MS., and Carlon H. (Annette) Knight of Guin, AL.; 17 grandchildren; 25

Mr. Seahorn was born February 16, 1947, to the late Howard and Audie Mae

Seahorn. He worked a number of years as a salesman for Joslyn Corp. Birmingham -

Atlanta. He currently worked for Glasforms, Birmingham, AL. He loved life, his

Savior Jesus and his family at Hopewell Baptist Church, Pinson where he was a

member.

He is survived by his wife Peggy Head Seahorn and son Byron (Tara) Seahorn of

Pinson. Sisters Marie Donald of Tupelo and Susie Willis of Russellville.

Grandsons whom he loved dearly, Cameron and Perry Seahorn of Pinson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Audie Mae Seahorn, 2

brothers Billy Seahorn and Gene Seahorn (of Hamilton, AL.) and sister Annie Lee
