He is preceded in death by 1

brother, Earnest Sunie; 5 sisters-in-law, Beverly Sunie, Beverly Jensen, Stella

Jensen, Marian Jensen, and Marvis Jensen; and 5 brothers-in-law, Wayne Jensen,

Junior Jensen, Cecil Jensen, Jerry Jensen, and Don Bredeson.

Raymond Sunie was born

September 17, 1937, to the late Sven and Ellen (Erickson) Sunie in Ironwood,

Michigan, graduating from Wright High School in 1955. Ray was drafted into the

Army, serving with the 82nd Airborne during the Vietnam era from 1962-1964.

After his return from the service, he married Iola at Trinity Lutheran Church in

Ironwood, Michigan, October 15, 1966. Ray became an instant stepfather to five

children ages six to 10, that he helped raise as his own.

Ray continued to work while

earning his masters in business degree by attending classes at MTU over four

summers. After receiving his MBA, he was hired by Federal-Mogul (now NTN-Bower)

in Hamilton, Alabama in 1978, where he worked as a successful and innovative

engineer until his retirement from NTN-Bower in 1999. Ray was a perfectionist in

everything he did, and always did his best to get things done right. He had

several inventions that increased plant efficiency and company profits.

Ray was an avid golfer his

whole life and was a member of Pikeville Country Club in Hamilton. He won

several tournaments and club championships and also had two "holes in one"

during his playing years. He also enjoyed music of many types and attended live

performances whenever possible. Ray also enjoyed bowling, playing slots, trading

stocks, and traveling. He was a supporter of the local school sports, especially

basketball and football. He and Iola loved to travel and much of that travel was

to visit friends and family all over the country.

Mr. Davis was born November 28, 1937 to the late James Fred Davis and the late

Clemmie McKay Davis. He was a 1957 graduate of Sulligent High School and a

member of the Free Will Chapel Free Will Baptist Church of Sulligent, AL.

Jim made his living as a truck driver for Glenn Manufacturing and Southern

Transportation and was retired from Ceco Engineering Company of Columbus, MS

after 33 years of service. After retirement, he was employed as a school bus

driver for 6 years for the Lamar County Board of Education.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Davis, Sulligent, AL.; 2 daughters, Pebbles

(Greg) Pinkerton, Vernon, AL. and Ginger (Tony) Tooke, Bristow, VA.; 4

grandchildren, Erika Pinkerton, Jordyn Pinkerton, Chelsie Tooke and Corey Davis

Tooke; 1 sister, Patricia (Shelby) Roberts, Sulligent, AL.; and several other

relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Fred Davis and Clemmie McKay

Davis; and several aunts and uncles.

Ms. Ethel Feltman Parmer,

age 90, of Tupelo, MS (formerly of Marion County, Alabama), entered into rest,

Saturday, June 6th, 2009 at the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS. She

was born April 19, 1919, in Marion County, AL. to, the late Claude Wilton

Feltman and Maryann Avery Feltman.

She was a charter member of

Skyline Baptist Church for over 50 years. She was a faithful and loving

mother. She loved Gospel singing and had a beautiful Alto voice. A

dedicated Christian, reading her daily bible readings every day for over 50

years.

She married Grady Parmer

September 18, 1932 and 6 children came to bless this union. 2 daughters,

Gladys (Roy) Mann of Tupelo, MS., and Imarie (Steve) Hughes of Mooreville, MS.;

4 sons, Grover (Doris) Parmer of Fulton, MS., T.G. (Carolyn) Parmer and Wexford

(Wanda) Parmer of Tupelo, MS., and Winford (Joan) Parmer of Selma, AL.; 14

grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by

her parents, Claude Wilton Feltman and Maryann Avery Feltman; her husband, Grady Parmer;

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was the owner of Production Specialist in

the oil rig industry for many years. Mr. Tidwell enjoyed racing cars and loved

horses, his horse Rain and riding in his horse and buggy. He especially enjoyed

spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine Tidwell, Detroit, AL; 2 daughters, Wanda

(Johnny) Stanford, Detroit, AL, and Janine (Jeff) Overton, Detroit, AL; 2

grandchildren, Natasha (Tony) Saine, Detroit, AL, and Shannon Cranford,

She is survived by daughters, Ann Taylor Evans, Susan T. Odom and husband, James

Ronald Odom; grandchildren, Amy D. Odom, Patrick J. Odom and wife, Kayla, Ryan

T. Evans; great-grandchild, Parker J. Odom; sisters-in-law, Edna Mitchell and

Vicki Taylor Mitchell.

She was a former member of First Baptist Church, of Phil Campbell, Alabama and

was a long-time member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church.

Helen Keller Hospital fourth-floor nursing staff, Russellville Hospital ER staff

and the fact, he was 92 yrs. old when he made a profession of faith.

Charles Lunsford Carter,

aka: Charlie, age 92, of Hamilton, Al. passed away Saturday, June 27, 2009 at

Marion Regional Medical Center in Hamilton, AL. Charlie was born on August 9,

1917, to Thomas Monroe and Belle (Mills) Carter of Detroit, AL. On March 30,

1940, he was married to the former, Evelyn Rye of Detroit, AL., to whom 4

children were born to this union..

In the early 40's, Charlie and family moved to Adrian, Michigan to live. He

worked at Simplex Corp., until Retirement. Each morning following retirement, he

and fellow co-workers and friends would gather at the Mall for Morning Coffee

and fellowship. Charlie was a very friendly person, always jolly and laughing.

Later, his health started failing and he moved South to be closer to his

children. He lived with his daughter, Polly, until time came that he couldn't

use his legs and moved into Sunset Manor in Guin, AL. He still maintained that

jolly spirit.

The summer of 2008, Charlie called Rev. Edward Puckett to come Baptize him (at

age 92 yrs. young). Bro Puckett did so at the Nursing Home, using their lift and

big bath tub. He later became a member of Love Joy Free Will Baptist Church,

Beaverton, Al.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, and Brothers; Johnson Carter of

Hamilton, AL.; James Monroe Carter of Hamilton, AL.; Perry Carter of Detroit,

AL; and Levie Carter of Adrian, MI. Sisters deceased are; Carrie Shackelford of

Hamilton, AL.; Eula Sanderson of Adrian, MI.; Florie Carter of St. Louis, MO.;

and Karrie Carter of Detroit, AL.

Survivors are; Daughter; Polly Woods of Hamilton, AL., formerly of Guin, AL.;

and Sons; Paul (Linda) Carter of Birmingham, AL.; J. T. (Judy) Carter of

Chipley, FL.; and Dennis (Jeannie) Carter of Casselberry, FL. Ten grandchildren;

and 13 Great, Grandchildren.

Siblings; Agile (Cecil) Cook of Adrian, MI. and Rosie Jeffreys of Ishpeming, MI.

along with a host of nieces and nephews plus the Mother of their children,

Evelyn (Rye) Linker of Winfield, AL.

Visitation was held on Monday evening, June 29, 2009 at 6:00- 8:00 PM at Marion

County Funeral Home, Hamilton, AL. with Funeral service at 2:00 PM Tuesday, June

30, 2009 at the Marion County Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Edward Puckett

officiating. Burial followed at Cooper Cemetery, Detroit, AL.
