Nellie Mae Cox Armstrong, age 84 of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at the Marion Regional Nursing Home in Hamilton, Alabama.

Mae was born June 18, 1925 in Marion County, Alabama to the late Rose Ella Feltman and Henry Cox. She worked as a Factory Worker and NTN Bower in Hamilton.

She is survived by 1 son, Larry Armstrong; 2 daughters, Vickie Sanderson and Peggy Mitchell; 3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 5 sisters, Eunice Stone, Dorothy Spreag, Carolyn Taylor, Linda Quinn, and Loretta Howell; 5 brothers, Burlon Cox, Belton Cox, Elton Cox, Jimmy Cox, and JR Cox.

Lois Hayes Feltman, age 77, of Hodges, Alabama, passed away Friday, February 12, 2010.

Mrs. Feltman was born October 27, 1932 in Atwood, Franklin County, Alabama. She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church Hodges. She retired as Postmaster at Hodges and was employed for over 30 years with the U.S. Postal Service. She enjoyed her grandchildren and her flower garden.

Mrs. Feltman was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Maggie Baldwin Hayes; 3 sisters, Doris Bailey, Fern Pulley and Katherine Mitchell.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Jack Feltman of Hodges, AL.; 2 daughters, Janet Coats (Ron) and Tammy Bostick (Toby), both of Hodges, AL.; 4 grandchildren, Johnnie Coats (Marilyn) of Rydal, GA., Rebecca Coats McGill (Kirk) of Calhoun, GA., Judson Bostick of Hodges, AL., and Jodi Bostick Bowling (Kent) of Hamilton, AL.; and 6 great-grandchildren, Autumn, Brady, Jackson, Braxton, Garrett, and Colten.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the care givers and their "adopted" daughter, Carolyn Green, also to Kari Borgman, Mikylah and Emaleigh Blackburn. An extended thanks to Hospice of North Alabama, with special appreciation to Carol, Bobbie and Connie, for their care through this difficult time.

Mr. Hollis was born April 17, 1976 in Winston County, Alabama to Steven Hollis and the late Sheila Diana Criddle Hollis. He was a Deacon at New Hope Baptist Church in Winfield, Alabama and his occupation was a Welder.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Miller Hollis; his father, Steve Hollis; 2 step-children, Jeremy (Melanie) Hughes, and Misty Sawyer; 1 granddaughter, Ajah Sawyer; 1 sister, Melissa (Jeff) Wisdom; 4 nephews, Casey, Blade, Christopher, and Fields; his grandparents, Spencer & Mabel Criddle; and a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sheila Diana Criddle Hollis; and grandparents, Odie Mae Barton and Louis Hollis.

Mr. Lottie Hill Howell

Lottie Hill Howell, age 95, passed away Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010 at the North Mississippi Medical Center-Hamilton, AL. He was born March 11th, 1914 in Marion County, AL. He had been retired for many years and was a lifelong resident of the Hamilton area with the exception of military service and short stays in Mobile, AL. and Adrian, MI. Before retiring, he farmed and worked in the mobile home industry. He served his country during WWII in the Pacific, where he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal in connection with military operations against the enemy in Mindanao, Pacific Islands.

He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. His hobbies included working around the farm and gardening. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. The family would like to thank the staffs at the NMMC hospital and nursing home for the care provided to Lottie during the past year.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Ora Mae Frederick Howell, a brother, Ottis Howell and his parents, Houston and Lena Howell. He is survived by sons, Dwight Howell (Barbara), Friendswood, TX, Dwayne Howell (Debbie), West Jefferson, NC; grandchildren, Michael Howell (Shala), Norwood, MA, Phillip Howell (Melissa), Westchester, IL, and Amanda Howell Reynolds (Patrick), Decatur, GA; great-grandchildren, Bridget Howell, Norwood, MA, Kylie and Brody Reynolds, Decatur, GA; a sister, Dessie Bolen, Ozark, AL; and nieces and nephews.
