Ms. Autress Mae Cantrell Markham

Autress Mae Cantrell Markham, age 71, of Guin, Alabama, passed away Friday, April 22, 2011 at the Sunset Manor Nursing Home in Guin, Alabama.

Funeral service. Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 3:00 p.m., from the First Baptist Church in Guin, Alabama. Burial in the Guin City Cemetery. Bro. Don Graham and Bro. Shannon Knight officiating.

Visitation, 2:00 - 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 23, 2011, at the church, just prior to the service time. Pallbearers, Mike Frye, Payton Junkin, Danny Kell, Mineo Lindsey, Ralph Lolley and Ken Smith.

Ms. Markham was born in Marion County, Alabama, to the late William Kirkland and Minnie Berryhill Cantrell and she was the widow of the late Bobby Ray Markham to whom she was married to for 47 years until his death. She was a life long resident of Guin, Alabama. Autress was a homemaker and had worked for Health Tex Manufacturing Plant and she was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Guin.

She is survived by 1 daughter, Ronda S. (Ricky L.) Meador of Guin, AL., 2 grandsons, Scott (Belinda) Meador and Matt (Jennifer) Meador; 3 granddaughters, McKenna Meador, Mikah Meador and Briley Meador; a special nephew, Harold Cantrell of Birmingham, AL.; a special daughter, LeAnne Burns of Guin, AL.; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Ray Markham; her parents, Kirk and Minnie Cantrell; 1 sister, Elsie Haskell; 2 brothers, J.L. Cantrell and William Fay Cantrell.
