Rodney Gene Ables, age 51, of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at his residence.

Funeral service, 2:30 p.m., Monday, May 2, 2011 at the Guin Methodist Church. Burial in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Bobby Duncan officiating. Visitation, 12:00 - 2:30 p.m. at the church prior to the service.

He is survived by his wife, Shelia Ables of Hamilton, AL.; 1son, Chris (Julia) Ables of Phil Campbell, AL.; 1 daughter, Brandy (Rusty) Pugh of Guin; his mother, Jeanette Ables of Mt. Pleasant, Mi; 1 brother, Robin Ables of Hamilton, AL.; 2 sisters, Amy Hayward of Mt. Pleasant, MI. and Freida Schrader of Adrian, MI.; 3 grandchildren, Christen and Jayce Ables, Trey Madden and one on the way.
