He Reigns!

Re: 19:6 And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, "Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns!

A couple of years ago when we were experiencing the drought here in Alabama some of you may remember me sharing from time to time how the Lord used the Buttahatchee River that runs behind our house to teach me some Kingdom principles during that time. There were times when the river did not look like a river, but the river was still there. There have been times when the river runs swift as it is running right now and the Lord has shown me that there are times when the Holy Spirit moves fast and furious, and unpredictable. God uses that river to teach me so many things about how the Holy Spirit works and flows.

We had a tremendous amount of rain last night. Last night when I went to bed as I lay down the sound of the river put me immediately to sleep. The Holy Spirit can give you rest like that as well.

This morning as a good friend and brother in the Lord of mine were sitting out there praying God spoke to my heart in another way. When it rains like this on the other side of the river we always have these awesome waterfalls that make such a powerful soothing sound when they go into the river.

I began to think about what it will be like in Heaven. The awesome perfect sounds that we will here there. The sound of those water falls was so soothing. I told my friend that I was wondering if the Lord wanted me to stay there all day. He didn’t want me to today, but H e did let me know that in the future He does want me to take a whole day out there with my Bible and my notebook.

There are many things that are going on in our nation and around the world that I believe are very displeasing to God at this time. As a Christian I believe that we are not supposed to just sit around and mope and moan and groan and say that it sure is bad Jesus is coming back. I believe that we are called to be advancing His Kingdom until His return.

On the other hand I am thankful that as the Apostle Paul said 2Ti 4:8 Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing. (NKJV)
I am thankful that no matter what the current theory in education is, no matter what this side of the media, or that side of the media tries to tell me. No matter what humanist organizations try to tell me, or sell me I know that Heaven is a real place that all who love Christ will one day live there with Him and that He reigns there Re 11:15 Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!”

Yesterday the Lord allowed me to bring the message of a dear saint that had lived a faithful life and gone to be with the Lord. During the message the Holy Spirit brought to my attention that many people are concerned with end time events at the moment. There is a movie coming out that if I understand correctly says that based on the Mayan Calendar the world will end in 2012. I am thankful that I won’t have to spend the money the Lord has given me on that. I know the One who told His disciples Mr 13:32 "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.(NKJV) He reigns! I am thankful that those in Christ do not have to fear calamity, disaster, death, or the end times because we have the promise that we will be with Him. What a great promise! Take these words to your heart today. If you have accepted Christ receive them and walk in His assurance that he has taken the fear of death, hell, and the grave away. If you haven’t accepted Christ I urge you to stop right now repent of your sin and ask Jesus to come into your heart and save you by faith in His shed blood and His shed blood alone. An d this promise will be for you as well. “Re 7:17 "for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

Lets us Pray

Lord we thank you for Your peace today. Lord today we thank You that You have made the way for us to live forever and ever in Heaven. Today Lord help us advance your Kingdom in such a way that multitudes of others will know this grace and receive from You the precious gift of eternal life.

In Jesus Name

Amen

Thanks for your prayers for Jake and the Chipola Indians. They did well in their scrimmages in Dallas last week. They play in Atlanta this weekend. Jessye is beginning to really look like a little Mother. I praise God for the child that is in her womb. J.J. is looking good. I can’t call her grandma yet. I want to call her Mighty Mama, but she is not really going for that one.
