James Edward Gann, age 62 of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Monday night, November 9, 2009, at his residence.

Mr. Gann was born May 4, 1947, in Marion County, Alabama, to the late James Earling and Dorothy Mae Palmer Gann.  He was disabled.

He is survived by 3 sisters and 1 brother, Diane (Jerry) Abbott, Stevie (Brenda) Gann, Patricia (Paul) Mansell, and Sharon (David) Lewis; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Gann, parents, Earling and Dorothy Gann; 3 brothers, 1 sister; and 1 nephew.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Gwen (Randall) Frederick, and Rita Youngblood (Barry); her son-in-law, Alan Nix; 5 grandchildren, Brandi Frederick, Leah Frederick, Jonathan Nix, Sara Nix, and Maghan Youngblood.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Huey A. McCarley, and daughter, Debbie Nix.

She is survived by her husband, James Stone; 1 son, Wade Stone; 1 daughter-in-law, Alberta Stone; granddaughter, Lisa Masengale; 2 great-grandchildren, Kelsie Murphy, and Kyle Murphy.

She was preceded in death by 1 son, Jessie Stone.

Mr. James Monroe Jordan

James Monroe Jordan, age 60, of Sulligent, Alabama, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2009 in the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo,, MS.

James was born January 16, 1949 in Lamar County, AL. to Audine Morrow Jordan and the late Harold Bernard Jordan. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator.  He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Viet Nam.  James enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He was a lifetime member of Friendship South Baptist Church and a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his mother, Audine Morrow Jordan, Sulligent, AL.; 1 brother, Harold (Donna) Jordan, Sulligent, AL.; 1 son, Michael Jordan, Villa Rica, GA.; 1 daughter, Ashley Guthrie, Villa Rica, GA.; 2 grandchildren, Jordan, Villa Rica, GA., and Camden Guthrie, Villa Rica, GA.; and many other friends and relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Bernard Jordan.

Mrs. Lena Mae Wiley Spearman

Lena Mae Wiley Spearman, age 63 of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2009 at North MS Medical Center.

Reflections:

Lena Mae Wiley, the youngest of three children, was born to Fred and Legessie Wiley on September 7, 1946, in Fulton, Itawamba County, Mississippi.  Lena accepted Christ at an early age and united with St. Matthew's Missionary Baptist Church.  She was a 1964 graduate of East Highland High School in Fulton, MS.

Lena and her life partner, Nolan Spearman, were joined in Holy Matrimony on October 31, 1964.  Later she attended North West Community College in Hamilton, Alabama where she received a degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse.  After obtaining her degree, she worked as an LPN for 26 years.

Lena leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Renee Ladonna Spearman of Eau Clare, Wisconsin and Sherron Norita of Hamilton, Alabama; three granddaughters, Tamara Spearman, Tiffany Spearman, Markisha Spearman and one great-granddaughter, Aniyah Spearman, all of Hamilton, Alabama.  A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Mr. Lawler was born July 17, 1913 in Marion County, Alabama to the late Steve N. and Alma Taylor Lawler.  He was a Retired Farmer.  Dayton was a farmer and lived most of his life in Hodges, Alabama, where he was a shining example of Christian Faith and loved all who knew him.  He was a member of Hodges Church of Christ.  Dayton was baptized into Christ at an early age.  He was always ready to lend a helping hand with a smile on his face.  After his wife Maude's death, he continued to work her flower gardens and gave away flowers to all who wanted them.

Mr. Lawler is survived by 1 sister-in-law, Ava Lawler; 3 nieces, Clara Ann Rogers, Suzanne Smith, and Sara Dee McIlvane; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and his special Church family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Steve N. and Alma Taylor Lawler; his wife, Maude Glen Lawler; 3 brothers, Walker Lawler, Guy Lawler, and Toy Lawler.

Mr. Kenneth Allen Colburn, Jr.

Kenneth Allen Colburn, Jr., age 23, of Adrian, Michigan, passed away, November 7, 2009, in Mississippi as a result of an automobile accident.

Visitation, 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 13, 2009 and also on Saturday, November 14, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, Michigan. Funeral service, 12:00 p.m., Saturday, November 14, 2009, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, Michigan. Rev. Lloyd Jewett officiating. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery.

He was born August 6, 1986, in Amory, Mississippi, the son of Kenneth Colburn Sr. & Brenda Hunt. On May 12, 2009, he married Sierra Rojo, she survives. In addition to his wife Sierra, he is survived by his children, Kenneth Allen Colburn III, Ava Jade Rojo-Colburn and Gabriella Lanai Colburn; his parents Kenneth (Lisa) Colburn, Sr. and Brenda Hunt; 1 sister, Christina (Anthony Perez) Colburn; 1 brother, Maurice Tyler Colburn; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Quilla Colburn-Wigginton and his grandfather, Maurice Colburn.
