Adrian, MI - Mr. Royce “Bill” Lolley, age 86, of
Adrian, Michigan, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2011 at the Bixby Medical
Center in Adrian.
Visitation will take place 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., prior to the service, on
Wednesday, August 31, 2011, at the Wagley Funeral Home in Adrian, MI.
Funeral service to celebrate the life of Royce Lolley will begin at 7:00
p.m., Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at the Wagley Funeral Home in Adrian, MI.
with Pastor David King officiating. Royce will be laid to rest next to his
parents in Union Hill Cemetery in Hackleburg, Alabama.
Local arrangements: Visitation, 10:00 a.m. until
11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 3, 2011, at the Marion County Funeral Home.
Funeral service, 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 3, 2011, at the Marion
County Funeral Home, Hamilton, Alabama.
Mr. Lolley was born September 26, 1924 in Marion County, Alabama, the fourth child
born to Zell V. and Letha (Tyra) Lolley. Royce was employed with General
Motors at the Fischer Body Shop in Tecumseh, Michigan, where he retired in
1987 after many years of service. He was a member of the Adrian Church of
God. Royce was an avid Detroit Tiger’s baseball fan and loved to bowl in his
spare time.
He is survived by 7 children, Jimmy Lolley of Oregon, Lou Ann (Ray) Engle of
Adrian, Laurie (Brian) O’Connor of Adrian, Doug Lolley of Adrian, Donald
Lolley of Adrian, Daniel Lolley of Florida and Dennis Lolley of Adrian; 20
grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Burl Lolley of Alabama; 4
sisters, Effie Tilley, Margie (Bill) Scott, Betty Sue Cook and Evelyn (Wade)
Galbreath all of Alabama; and 1 sister-in-law, Opal Lolley also of Alabama;
his former wife, Lavada Case of Adrian; and several nieces, nephews and
cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Zell V. and Letha (Tyra) Lolley;
his second wife, Judith Fairbanks Lolley; 4 brothers, Russell, Vuis, Voyd
and Buren Lolley; 1 sister, Verlon Bailey; and 1 brother and 1 sister in
infancy.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lolley Family.
