Mr. Vernon "Jack" Lindsey
Vernon "Jack" Lindsey, age 92, of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at his residence.
Visitation, 6:00 - 9:00 p.m., Thursday night, September 9, 2010 at Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service, 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 10, 2010 at the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel. Bobby Duncan officiating. Burial in New Hope Cemetery, Hamilton, Alabama.
Mr. Lindsey was born October 1, 1917 in Marion County, Alabama to the late Chester and Dovie Loden Lindsey.
He is survived by his wife Loree "Ree" Tice Lindsey; 4 children, Dale (Tommie) Watts, Debbie (Mike) Millican, Dolores (Gary) Garrett, Candy (Dewayne) Beasley, and Cyndi (Zane) Yielding; 11 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, and relatives.
If you are older like me, you will remember Mr. "Jack" Lindsey when he owned the Piggly Wiggly down east of Hamilton where the RAMP now resides. He also served the city of Hamilton, Alabama as a city Council person. He was always interested in the progress of Hamilton. He will be missed greatly.
