Mr. William Lottie Arthur
(January 14, 1936 - August 31, 2009)

William Lottie Arthur, age 73, of Faceville, GA, passed away Monday, August 31, 2009 at his residence.

Visitation, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 1, 2009, at Ivey Funeral Home. Funeral service, 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 2, 2009, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Kip Boswell and Rev. Tommy McNair officiating. Burial at Cool Springs Cemetery. Greg Jeter, Jeff Jeter, Richard White, David Howell, Troy Arthur and Shane Steadham serving as active pallbearers.

Mr. Arthur was born January 14, 1936 in Hamilton, Marion County, Alabama, to William Henry Arthur and Pearl Sanderson Arthur. He retired from Engelhard with 42 years of service, was a volunteer with the Faceville Volunteer Fire Department, a trustee of the Cool Springs Cemetery, and was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Barbara Broxton Arthur of Faceville, GA; 1 son, Trent Arthur and wife Tina of Faceville, GA; 1 daughter, Dawn Womble and husband Charles of Jakin, GA; and 4 grandchildren, Ashley Arthur, William Womble, Jennifer Arthur and Bailee Ann Womble.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Henry Arthur and Pearl Sanderson Arthur; 1 brother, David Lee Arthur; 1 sister, Lucille Nichols; and 1 grandson, Jeffrey Trent Arthur, Jr.
