Martha Lou Nix Pace, age 64,
Phil Campbell, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2011.
Visitation, 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 20, 2011, at Spry Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial in Liberty Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers, Kyle Champion, Justin Pace, Phillip Pace, Jamie Kirby, James Taft, and Graylon Weeks.
Martha Pace was a beloved wife, daughter, mother, sister, mother-in-law, friend, and most importantly, a beloved grandmother. She loved being with her family. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Her entire life was filled with children. She taught 2nd grade for 36 years, Junior Sunday School for 40 years, was a Weight Watchers leader for many years, and a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma. She was member of First Baptist Church of Phil Campbell her entire life.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Henry Pace; 2 sons, Brian (Amy) Pace, Steven (Kim) Pace; 5 grandchildren, Maggie Pace, Mary Claire Pace, Emmy Pace, Erica George, Jamie Kirby; 1 sister, Judy Evett; and several nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lance & Edna Lucille Nix.
She was the type of person who touched and influenced everyone she met. Although she will be greatly missed on this earth, heaven gained a true treasure. Proverbs 31:10-31 is how she lived her whole life.
