Butch Frye, age 65, of Guin, Alabama, passed away Friday, June 17, 2011, at his residence.

Visitation, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Saturday, June 18, 2011, at the Guin First Baptist Church, Guin, Alabama. Funeral service, 3:00 p.m., Sunday, June 19, 2011, at the Guin First Baptist Church. Bro. Scott Stokes and Bro. Randy Wright officiating. Burial in the Guin City Cemetery.

Mr. Frye was born in Jasper, Alabama to James Frye and the late Dorothy Hunt Frye. He had lived in Guin the past 38 years. He retired from Northwest Alabama Gas Company, and was the owner of F & G Cabinets and Frye Farms. He was a member and a Deacon of the Guin First Baptist Church, a member of the Guin Masonic Lodge, Board Member of the Cattlemen's Association and a Board Member of Alfa.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Ronda (Danny) Marcum and Lauren (Cody) Pipkins, Guin, AL.; 2 sons, Robb Frye and Mike Frye, Guin, AL.; 3 grandchildren, Joey and Madison Frye and Chris Marcum; his father, James Frye, Lineville, AL.; 1 sister, Susan Frye, Cedartown, GA.; and 1 brother, Keith Frye of Ashland, AL.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Foster Frye; and his mother Dorothy Hunt Frye.
