Cecil Ables, age 76, of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Monday, June 13, 2011, at the Northwest Medical Center.

Visitation, 6:00 p.m., Tuesday night at Unity Church. Funeral service, 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at Unity Church. Randall Tice officiating.

Mr. Ables was born October 13, 1934, in Franklin County, Alabama, to the late Dewey and Fannie Crouch Ables. He was a Logger.

He is survived by his wife, Kay Upton Ables; 6 children, Pam Gersh, Linda Webster, Daniel Ables, Jimmy Ables, Timothy Ables, and Glenda Ables; 15 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey & Fannie Crouch Ables; and 2 daughters, Sarah Ann Hughes, and Jackie Ables.
