Ms. Elsie Holliday, age 92, of Sulligent, Alabama, passed away Monday, June 21, 2010 at Sunset Manor in Guin, Alabama.
Funeral services, 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 23, 2010, Otts Funeral Home Chapel. Burial in Gilmer Addition / Sulligent City Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 P.M. In Lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to Sulligent First Baptist Church Pre-School Program or St. Jude’s Hospital.

Graham, Paul Reeves and Jim Reeves. Honorary pallbearers, Frank
Buckley, Frank Cox, Junior Ray, Billy Ogden, Dr. Dale Spruiell and Dr. Gary
Thomas.
Ms. Holliday was born March 21, 1918 in Franklin County, AL to the late John
Sherman and Etta Mae Baggett McCarley. She was a member of Sulligent First
Baptist Church. Ms. Holliday enjoyed gardening, flowers and working at the
library.
She is survived by 1 son, Joseph Robert “Bobby” (Barbara) Holliday Jr., Hamilton, AL.;
1 grandson, Joseph Robert “Rob” Holliday III, Sulligent, AL.; 2 great-grandsons,
Joseph Reid Holliday and Robert Blake Holliday; 2 sister-in-laws, Julie
McCarley and Edna Barker; 5 nieces; and 4 nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Sherman and Etta Mae McCarley;
3 brothers, Cartie Lee McCarley, Arbury McCarley and Mack McCarley; and 1 sister, Elma McCarley
Orr.
Otts Funeral Home of Sulligent, AL in charge of arrangements.
