Mr. Kearney Hamilton

Kearney Hamilton, age 90, of Detroit, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at Hospice of West Alabama Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Visitation, 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 28, 2010 at the Norwood Funeral Home, Sulligent, Alabama. Funeral service, 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 28, 2010 at the Norwood Funeral Home Chapel. Burial in Carter Cemetery, Detroit, Alabama.

Mr. Hamilton was retired from NTN Bower and had previously worked at Detroit Slacks and as a mechanic. He had been a member of the Detroit United Methodist Church since age 5 and served as Treasurer for over 50 years. He enjoyed Crimson Tide Football and Atlanta Braves Baseball.

He is survived by 1 daughter, Deborah Hamilton (Tim Crumly) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; his beloved cat and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Ernestine Ausbon Hamilton.
