Ms. Ethel Feltman Parmer
Ms. Ethel Feltman Parmer, age 90, of Tupelo, MS (formerly of Marion County, Alabama), entered into rest, Saturday, June 6th, 2009 at the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS. She was born April 19, 1919, in Marion County, AL. to, the late Claude Wilton Feltman and Maryann Avery Feltman.
She was a charter member of Skyline Baptist Church for over 50 years. She was a faithful and loving mother. She loved Gospel singing and had a beautiful Alto voice. A dedicated Christian, reading her daily bible readings every day for over 50 years.
She married Grady Parmer September 18, 1932 and 6 children came to bless this union. 2 daughters, Gladys (Roy) Mann of Tupelo, MS., and Imarie (Steve) Hughes of Mooreville, MS.; 4 sons, Grover (Doris) Parmer of Fulton, MS., T.G. (Carolyn) Parmer and Wexford (Wanda) Parmer of Tupelo, MS., and Winford (Joan) Parmer of Selma, AL.; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude Wilton Feltman and Maryann Avery Feltman; her husband, Grady Parmer; and 3 sisters, Myrtle Bishop, Ruby Wigginton, and Lillie Knierim; and 1 brother, Claude Feltman.
Visitation, Sunday, 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Pegues Funeral Home, 535 W. Jefferson, Tupelo, MS. Services, Monday at 11:00 a.m., in the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues Funeral Home, with Rev. Billy Langley and Rev. Tim Tutor officiating, Interment in Priceville Memoral Cemetery.
Pallbearers, her grandsons, Len Mann, Tim Parmer, Dennis Parmer, Delane Parmer, Jonathan Parmer, Mike Parmer, Jason Farris, and Jeffery Farris.
